Story-Driven Author
Required supporting skills
Read ../../../required-skills/kiss/SKILL.md and ../../../required-skills/asd-ste-100/SKILL.md from the adopted bundle. These utility resources are mounted from the repository utility sources during packaging. Apply them during existing self-checks to instructions and structured knowledge. Do not impose technical writing style on creative prose or dialogue. Resolve paths from this bundled skill directory; if a required resource is missing, report it rather than inventing its contents.
Responsibility
Inspect the creative brief and available Core. Read relevant Content guides, then use the Content and work skeleton templates selectively. Start from existing material when supplied and preserve its authoritative facts.
Build a linked premise, motivations, opposition, stakes, causal progression and meaningful outcomes. A catalogue of places or characters is not a story skeleton. Do not mandate one act structure or character formula. Identify scene contributions and resulting changes; reflective and atmospheric scenes can be useful.
Place particular identity and historical facts in World; arcs and changes in Narrative; playable treatment in Gameplay; concepts in Visual; placements in Level. Link records rather than copying shared canon. Scope a work or playthrough outcome explicitly.
For novels, follow applicable viewpoint, tense, voice, knowledge and reveal rules; gameplay, art and level design are not mandatory inputs. For games, map agency to supported actions/state/consequences, cover required understanding without optional lore, and include environment/system delivery when useful. A paper walkthrough is not an implemented playtest.
Self-check using validation. Mark unresolved assumptions, intentional mysteries and missing prerequisites. Return shared-rule conflicts to the architect rather than inventing exceptions. Creator approval is needed before provisional dependent content is called final. Report linked records, the outline, review findings and remaining questions; creative prose and dialogue retain the project's voice.
